Hot Dog Man

Ah, the iconic Hot Dog Man! Here at Brick by Brick, we always get a kick out of the quirky mascot costume figures that have become a staple of the Collectible Minifigures series. What makes this particular figure such a must-have for collectors is the sheer brilliance of the molded hot dog bun costume piece, complete with a wavy line of yellow mustard and a juicy dark red sausage. It is a fantastic piece of engineering that transforms a standard minifigure into a walking piece of fast-food art, making it an absolute cornerstone for anyone building a bustling LEGO city display or a dedicated costume collection.

When hunting for this piece, condition is everything—especially regarding the printed costume elements. Because the hot dog bun piece takes up so much real estate, collectors should inspect the mustard and sausage prints for any scuffs, scratches, or wear that might happen from storage or play. The cheerful, crooked-smile head print adds a great touch of personality to the figure. Whether displayed alongside other food mascots or standing proudly on a baseplate, this charming character never fails to bring a smile to fellow fans who spot it in a collection.

Having only made a single official appearance in a blind-bagged series back in 2015, this figure has steadily drifted out of casual circulation and deeper into collector-to-collector marketplaces. Since it was distributed in mystery foil packaging, finding one complete with all four original components—including the essential bun costume—can take a bit of dedicated treasure hunting.

As years pass and more fans look to complete their classic costume collections, the aftermarket availability for this specific release tightens up. While it was produced in mass quantities for its initial run, the retirement of that specific wave means new, sealed bags are increasingly scarce, pushing collectors toward the secondary market where well-preserved loose examples are actively traded.
