UFO Alien, Red, Plain Black Helmet

The UFO Alien, with its distinct trans-neon orange head and classic Space theme torso, is a nostalgic gem for LEGO collectors. Released in 1998, it represents a key era in LEGO Space history, bridging the gap between classic space and more modern designs. Its unique head print, featuring a visible green brain and yellow mouth, makes it instantly recognizable and highly desirable.

Condition is crucial for this minifigure. Collectors seek examples with minimal wear on the torso and leg prints, as these are prone to scratching. The helmet should also be free of cracks and discoloration. Mint or near-mint examples command a premium, reflecting the challenge of finding figures in top condition after two decades.

This UFO Alien appeared in only one set, the Spacecraft (2543-1) released in 1998. This single appearance inherently increases its rarity compared to minifigures found in multiple sets. While not a limited edition or regional exclusive, the fact it was only available for a limited time in one specific set contributes to its scarcity on the aftermarket.

Finding complete and original Spacecraft sets is becoming increasingly difficult, further limiting the supply of this minifigure. While not the rarest minifigure ever produced, its limited availability and the age of its set make it a sought-after piece for serious LEGO Space collectors.
