Medusa

The Medusa minifigure is a standout due to its unique molded parts, particularly the hairpiece featuring snakes. As part of the LEGO Minifigures series, it appeals to both minifigure collectors and those interested in mythology-themed LEGO items. The detailed printing on the torso and tail, representing scales and snakes, adds to its visual appeal. The dual-sided head with different expressions further enhances its collectibility.

Condition is a significant factor for this minifigure. Collectors often seek versions with pristine printing and undamaged hairpieces. The exclusivity of Medusa to a single, now-retired set also contributes to its demand in the secondary market. Furthermore, the character's recognizable status from Greek mythology gives it broad appeal beyond the typical LEGO enthusiast.

Medusa's rarity stems from its exclusive inclusion in only one LEGO set: the LEGO Minifigures Series 10 (71001-2), released in 2013. Since this series is retired, obtaining Medusa requires navigating the aftermarket. While not a limited edition or regional exclusive, the finite number produced within Series 10 contributes to its relative scarcity compared to minifigures appearing in multiple sets. Its availability on the aftermarket varies depending on condition and completeness.
