Captain Jack Sparrow with Tricorne Hat

This Captain Jack Sparrow minifigure, specifically the one with the tricorn hat, holds a special place in the hearts of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean fans. It's one of the earliest versions of the iconic character, capturing his flamboyant style. Collectors seek it out not only for the character's immense popularity, fueled by the successful film franchise, but also because it represents a key piece of LEGO's foray into licensed themes.

The minifigure's detailed printing, including the sash and dreadlocks, adds to its appeal. The tricorn hat is a defining feature, instantly recognizable and desirable. As one of the original Jack Sparrow minifigs, it's a must-have for completing a Pirates of the Caribbean collection. The condition of the minifigure, particularly the hat and torso printing, greatly impacts its collectibility.

This particular version of Captain Jack Sparrow is relatively less common than some later variants, as it only appears in one promotional set, 30133-1 Jack Sparrow, released in 2011. While not a limited edition in the strictest sense, its availability was restricted to a specific promotional period, making it less readily available than figures included in larger retail sets. This limited availability contributes to its higher value on the secondary market compared to figures found in multiple, widely distributed sets.
