This is an experiment to try to power something other than wheels with a pull-back motor. The linkage is designed such that the feet move almost linear front to back and then in an arc back to front. The tail swings to keep balance. The gears are only used to wind-up the pull-back motor. The dino can only run until the power from the pull-back motor runs out, which happens quickly, so it can sprint something between 1 and 1.5 meter.
