Modified BaufmanBricks T-65 X-Wing in minifig-scale

A LEGO fan has modified a T-65 X-Wing model originally designed by BaufmanBricks, adjusting it to better match minifigure scale and incorporating details from set 75301. The modifications focused on achieving a more accurate size and appearance, resulting in a unique and personalized build.

The original design by BaufmanBricks, available on Rebrickable, was initially at a scale of approximately 1/48. The builder, /u/Timsterguy007, made several changes to improve the model's accuracy. These included switching the red pieces to dark red for a darker appearance, increasing the wingspan by two studs on each side, and extending the nose by two studs to achieve a more accurate minifigure scale (about 1/45). The builder also incorporated stickers and stickered parts from set 75301 to add detail. Further adjustments were made to the landing gear to reflect the X-Wing's height, and blue stripes were added to the blasters.

While the modifications improved the model's aesthetics and scale accuracy, the builder noted that these changes compromised the original sturdiness of BaufmanBricks' design. The builder also created a modified version of the Blue Leader X-Wing.
