Kenner Mini-rigs

The LEGO community is buzzing with excitement over a collection of custom-built Kenner Mini-rig models, meticulously crafted by a dedicated fan. These impressive creations pay homage to the classic Star Wars toys from the 1980s, offering a nostalgic trip for fans of the original trilogy.

The collection features nine Mini-rig MOCs (My Own Creation) and three accompanying Body-rigs, all designed by /u/MaximillianRebo. The Mini-rigs include the AST-5 Armoured Sentinel Transport, CAP-2 Captivator, PDT-8 Personnel Deployment Transport, Desert Sail Skiff, Imperial Sniper, MTV-7 Multi Terrain Vehicle, Security Scout, INT-4 Interceptor, and ISP-6 Imperial Shuttle Pod. The Body-rigs consist of the MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon, Endor Forest Ranger, and Sand Skimmer. While the Endor Forest Ranger and Multi Terrain Vehicle are based on existing designs, the rest are original creations.

These Mini-rigs capture the spirit of the original Kenner toys, which were designed to expand the Star Wars universe with vehicles that could have existed in the films. Many of these models have clear connections to existing vehicles, offering a cohesive and imaginative extension of the Star Wars world.
