BlockTalk BlockTalk Summary

The user is considering purchasing two copies of the LEGO set inspired by Van Gogh's "The Starry Night" for investment purposes. They found the set at a local discount store for €120 and are seeking advice on whether buying a second set is a sound financial decision, considering a medium-term investment horizon of 3-5 years.

The user is interested in unconventional investments in physical assets and is not looking for advice on Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). They are drawn to the LEGO set's aesthetic appeal and are willing to purchase it regardless, but they want to assess the potential risks and rewards of buying a second one. The user is also open to reselling the set at the original purchase price in a worst-case scenario.

Given the user's interest in the LEGO set and their investment goals, it's worth noting that the LEGO market can be volatile. The value of a set can fluctuate based on factors like its rarity, demand, and overall condition. While the set is visually appealing, its investment potential depends on market trends and collector interest.

If the user is interested in preserving their sets, they might consider getting a LEGO display case to protect them from dust and damage.
